My last day of Day Camp

I had a fun time at camp. My favorite thing to do at camp was play ultimate dodge ball with Mr. Mike. My second favorite thing to do was going to the well at swimming. The well is where the slides and diving board are and the well is 12 feet deep. I've gone down deep under water in the well. My third favorite thing is Team Sports. I like to play guard the pin at Team Sports. My fourth favorite thing is Arts and Crafts. I like making paper air planes at Arts and Crafts. My fifth favorite thing is getting ice cream sandwiches. My sixth favorite thing is tennis lessons. My seventh favorite thing is climbing the rock wall. My eighth favorite thing was Garden Special. I liked it when we played elimination in Garden Special once. We also planted flowers. My ninth favorite thing was having Health and Fit with Mr. Ryan. My tenth favorite thing was Discovery. I liked it when we made butterfly's in Discovery. My eleventh favorite thing was weekly theme. My favorite weekly theme was Animals.

Special Events at Camp

• Our first field trip was too the zoo.
• We also went roller skating once for a field trip. That was really fun too.
• One time the Firefighters came to talk to us and told us all about their job. They put out fires and help people.
• The Police Officers came and told us about what they do too. They save people, put people in jail and they help people.

Editor's Note: Ryan went to Day Camp this summer. Today was his last day. He had a BLAST all summer. He learned so many new things. Things that they just don't teach you in school anymore. He can now throw a football perfectly, can play basketball, swim and play tennis. He also learned a ton of "childhood" type games...four-square, dodge ball etc... Not only did he learn all of these physical sports and activities, he learned a lot about exercise and staying healthy. He grew up a lot this summer in his playing and interacting with other kids. He does so much better with kids a year or two older than him. This camp was a perfect example of how learning can be fun and it doesn't always require a classroom setting with pencils and paper. He was sad for Day Camp to come to an end, but barring some unforeseen circumstances he will be attending the same camp again next year.
